Dog Boarding

A Home Away From Home in the Countryside

Accommodation

At Garromuir, we believe dogs settle best when they feel safe, comfortable and properly cared for. Our purpose-built kennels — including the Iona, Jura, Islay, Uist, Arran and Skye blocks — provide spacious individual sleeping areas with attached covered runs, giving each dog their own secure space to relax.

All kennel blocks are fully heated to keep dogs warm during colder Scottish nights. We provide raised bedding and soft blankets for comfort, and owners are welcome to bring a familiar toy or blanket to help their dog feel at home.

Dogs staying with us receive a minimum of three exercise sessions per day in our secure outdoor paddocks. Depending on each dog’s training level and temperament, they are exercised on or off lead, ensuring both safety and appropriate freedom to play, explore and burn off energy.

Cleanliness and hygiene are a top priority throughout the facility. Kennels are cleaned and checked regularly during the day, bedding areas are kept dry and comfortable, and food and water bowls are maintained to high sanitary standards. Our staff closely monitor every dog’s wellbeing, appetite and behaviour to ensure they remain happy and settled during their stay.

We also cater for special dietary requirements and administer medication exactly as instructed, giving owners peace of mind that their dog’s routine and health needs are maintained.
